Li Wendong has long studied the tempera technique and explores its expressive possibilities in his work. His creations depict the wild, untamed lands of ancient Chinese nomadic tribes, presenting an independent space outside the mainstream culture. These works are not only an artistic representation of a fictional history but also closely tied to his reflections on life, offering a response to cultural and social phenomena in the reality he experiences.
